STDC model or otherwise “See Think Do Care” is one of the most used and best known models in marketing. The focus is on the customer and his interaction with the brand. According to the degree of interaction, the model recognizes four phases of the customer journey.
In essence, it is a kind of funnel through which the customer goes from the initial inspiration to the final purchase decision.
4 phases of See Think Do Care
Some consider the model outdated, but it still provides many entrepreneurs with a good picture of how customers behave and how to communicate with them at each stage of the purchase process.
“SEE” phase
This stage includes the widest group of potential customers, many of whom have heard very little about the brand. The goal of the SEE phase is to increase brand awareness and generate interest. At this stage, the customer is not yet considering a purchase, he is just getting to know the brand.
“THINK” phase
In this stage, there are customers who have already shown interest in the brand or product, but have not yet decided to buy. The goal is to provide them with more information and convince them of the value of the product.
“DO” phase
At this stage, customers are already ready to buy. The last step is to convince them to buy from you.
“CARE” phase
The Care phase focuses on customers who have already purchased once. The goal is to maintain their loyalty and encourage them to become repeat customers. Activities may include customer support services or loyalty programs.
