Do you need help creating the perfect email, social media post or looking for new ways to interact with your customers? Let ChatGPT assist you. With its ability to understand and respond to human speech, it can create tailored and engaging content that will make you stand out in a crowded marketplace.
What is ChatGPT?
As the name Generative Pre-training Transformer implies, ChatGPT is a generative language model based on a pre-trained content “transformer” structure.
It is a model capable of processing large amounts of text and learning to perform human-specified tasks.
It sounds unimaginable, but the GPT-3 model on which ChatGPT is built has a size of 175 billion parameters, making it the largest language model ever created. It was trained on a text file containing over 8 million documents and over 10 billion words.
What can ChatGPT do?
You may find it hard to believe, but it is not yet clear to anyone what ChatGPT, with its 175 billion parameters, can actually do. Of course, the model is limited to language. It can’t produce video, sound or images. That said, it instead understands the spoken and written word perfectly.
This grants it a fairly wide range of abilities. From writing poems about seemingly unrelated connections like the strawberry sea, clichéd fairy tales and short stories to simply explaining quantum mechanics or writing school papers and blog articles.
Where you could spend hours researching, understanding and writing an article on the history of Slovak football, ChatGPT can produce a well-written alternative in just a few seconds.
How does ChatGPT work?
The model was trained using text databases from the Internet. This included a whopping 570 GB of data extracted from books, website texts, Wikipedia, articles and other texts on the Internet. To be more specific, 300 billion words were fed into the system.
In very simplified terms, the language model works on the basis of probability. It can guess what the next word in a sentence should be. Think of it as an improved and much smarter version of the autocompletion software you often see in emails or on Google search when you start typing a sentence.
What sets this technology apart from others is that it is constantly learning, while guessing what the next word should be. It is constantly improving its understanding of issues and challenges.
How much does ChatGPT cost?
At the moment, it is completely free for ChatGPT users, albeit in a limited word and character count mode. Mass testing of the module is necessary for its further use. That’s why its manufacturer has chosen this interesting form of the beta test for the general public.
There has been no official statement on the final commercial use and pricing model.
In any event, the cost of running the model is not negligible at all. According to an anecdotal analysis, Microsoft, which hosts open AI servers, charges $3 per hour per A100 GPU, and each word generated on ChatGPT costs about $0.0003.
A typical ChatGPT reply usually contains at least 30 words. Thus, one reply from ChatGPT will cost Open AI at least 1 cent. It is currently estimated that they spend a minimum of $100,000 per day, or $3 million per month, on operational costs.
6 ways in which you can start using ChatGPT today
1. Content creation using ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a functional language model that can understand a wide range of commands spanning various topics, forms and contexts.
To use ChatGPT to generate any content, enter a command with a topic into the model, and it will generate a response based on the learned data. You can easily use its basic knowledge to generate written e-commerce content such as blogs, product descriptions, emails, outlines, headlines, and more.
With its ability to understand and respond to a wide range of challenges, ChatGPT is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to create written content quickly and easily.
Basic commands to create content with ChatGPT
Write a blog post about the main trends in [industry] for the next quarter Write 20 compelling headlines about a +service or +product or +entity and include the following words: Create a social media post promoting the launch of a new product [PVC windows] with a captivating strapline Write an email marketing campaign to re-engage inactive customers who haven't completed a purchase in the online store Create a script for a video ad that introduces the benefits of a new service Create a list of frequently asked questions and answers about [product or service] Create a copy of a product page to introduce a new product or service Write a script for a webinar on best practices in [industry] Write 500 words of engaging content about a +service or +product or +entity using the following words
2. Keyword analysis using ChatGPT
Keyword research and analysis is an essential step in creating effective content for your website. It involves identifying the words and phrases people are searching for related to a specific topic and using that information to optimise your content for search engines.
But beware. ChatGPT does not have data on actual keyword searches and, in many cases, can be extremely wrong. The only tool that includes a real count of monthly Google searches is the Google Keyword Planner included in the basic Google Ads service.
ChatGPT keyword analysis commands
Keywords for an online clothing store Find 20 long tail keywords for fitness and a healthy lifestyle 10 local keywords for hairdressing and beauty Search keywords for online book sales Long tail keyword analysis for a B2B SaaS product targeting large companies 10 keywords for the purpose of a search for a personal travel blog 20 long tail keywords for an organic food online store
3. A content strategy using ChatGPT
A content strategy is the process of planning, creating and managing content to achieve specific business goals and objectives. ChatGPT will help you develop your content strategy by analysing your target audience, their needs and the purpose of your content.
For example, it can suggest creating a mix of blog posts, videos, infographics, social media posts and webinars.
ChatGPT commands to create a content strategy
Create a content calendar for [industry, product or service] company's Instagram for the next month, including topics, formats and publishing schedule Write a content mission statement for [brand/company] dedicated to [industry, product or service] Children's goods and toys online store categories Create a list of goals and KPIs for a content strategy for [industry, product or service] Devise a process to redesign and update existing content Design a web site map for [brand/company] dedicated to [industry, product or service] More detailed information about [Service] or [Product] or [Industry] Write 50 words in layman's terms on [Service] or [Product] or [Industry] What are the 10 most popular questions about [Service] or [Product] or [Industry]
4. A better understanding of search intent
ChatGPT can help you better understand search intent by analysing the keywords and phrases used in the search and identifying the underlying intent behind them.
For example, if a user searches for “best sunglasses”, the intent is likely to be informative. However, if a user searches for “sunglasses sale”, the intent is likely to be transactional.
Commands to generate a search intent
Create a list of keywords and phrases related to [topic] and identify the intent of each search Prepare an analysis of the search data for [brand/industry] and identify the intent of the most common searches Develop a list of customer personas and their corresponding search intent for [brand/product] Write a case study analysing the search intent behind a successful content campaign on [topic] Develop a list and segment groups of content ideas that match different types of search intent (informational, transactional, navigational) for [industry brand] Analyse the search intent behind the highest ranking content in [industry] and identify opportunities to create new content
5. Generating titles and CTA using ChatGPT
Generating titles and CTAs (Call-to-Action) through ChatGPT is a useful tool for creating engaging and effective content. Titles and headlines are the first thing a user sees when they come across your content. As such, they need to grab attention and provide relevant information.
Commands to generate titles and CTA using ChatGPT
Create a list of catchy headings for [topic] Generate a list of compelling and clear calls to action for [product/service] Write a list of headings and subheadings that accurately summarise the content Develop a list of action phrases to be used in calls to action Create a guide for writing headings that are relevant to the content and target audience Write a list of titles and CTA that are optimised for social media Create a list of subject headings and CTA for email marketing campaigns
6. PPC advertising using ChatGPT
ChatGPT is an equally valuable tool for creating quick and engaging Google and Facebook ads. However, they’re still nowhere near as creative as those from an experienced copywriter. So if you really want to impress, ChatGPT in its current version won’t help you that much.
However, it can help you with SEO-optimised ad copywriting by generating headings, descriptions and calls-to-action that are tuned to your particular platform and target audience.
ChatGPT will also help you target your ad by suggesting keywords and demographics that match the ad’s message and objectives.
ChatGPT commands for Google and Facebook advertising
Generate headings and descriptions for Google search ad targeting [keyword] Write ad text for Google search ad content targeting [demographics] with word count [word count] Create a keyword list for a Google Shopping ad campaign with a character count [number of characters] Create a list of interests and behaviours for a campaign on [topic] targeting Facebook audiences Create a list of ad groups for a Google Search campaign Create headlines and descriptions for a lead generation ad on Facebook Write an ad copy for a Google remarketing campaign targeting abandoned cart users Create a list of ad placements for a Facebook ad campaign
ChatGPT has some limitations
However you decide to use ChatGPT, be aware that there are important limitations to recognise before you start using it within a project.
The biggest limitation is that ChatGPT is unreliable in generating accurate information. The reason it is inaccurate is because the model, like a super-accurate fortune-teller’s crystal ball, only predicts what words should follow the previous word in a sentence within a paragraph on a given topic.
1. Programmed to avoid certain types of content
ChatGPT is specifically programmed not to generate text on topics of explicit violence, explicit sexual content, and harmful content such as instructions for the manufacture of weapons and addictive substances.
2. Lack of knowledge of current events
Another limitation is that it does not know of any content created after 2021.
Therefore, if your content needs to be up-to-date, ChatGPT in its current form may not be useful.
3. It has a built-in positivity bias
The fact that it is trained to be useful, truthful and harmless is also an important constraint. These are not just ideals, they are deliberate biases that are built into its code. The programming seems to be deliberately personal, which makes the output avoid negativity and thus renders it inaccurate.
4. ChatGPT requires very precise commands
ChatGPT requires detailed commands to make the output better quality, more original or have a specific angle. The more instructions it receives, the more sophisticated the output will be. In a sense, you have to hold the steering wheel firmly in your hands and explicitly tell ChatGPT to go in the desired direction.
5. Is it possible to identify ChatGPT-created content?
Researchers at Google and other organizations have been working for years on algorithms to successfully detect AI-generated content.
See, for example, a scientific paper from 2022:
Adversarial Robustness of Neural-Statistical Features in Detection of Generative Transformers (PDF). Here, researchers tested to see what kind of analysis can detect AI-generated content that uses algorithms designed to evade detection.
According to the research findings, statistical features of AI-generated text, such as Gunning-Fog Index and Flesch Index scores, were useful for predicting whether text was computer-generated, even when that text used an algorithm designed to evade detection.

6. An invisible watermark of AI content
ChatGPT is planning on introducing a watermarking feature so that it can be easily detected.
Search engines like Google and social media networks are worried about the prospect of AI content flooding search results and replacing expert articles written by humans.
ChatGPT as part of complex automation?
ChatGPT can be especially helpful in generating inspiration. In its current form, it sounds quite machine-like, so if you’re creating easy-to-read content with a dash of creativity, you won’t automate the process just yet.
However, other tools are not nearly as popular. For example, for PPC advertising, we use a tool called MagicScript, which allows us to automate bidding on a margin.
